VIENNA ART WEEK, now in its ninth edition, has become an annual fixed event in Vienna’s cultural calendar. Once again, this year’s art festival – initiated by the Dorotheum and hosted by Art Cluster Vienna – has managed to encourage and foster cooperation between global and Austrian art world players.
Over 500,000 square feet of exhibition space host the Galleries, Nova, Positions, Edition, Kabinet, and Magazines sectors, as well as the Conversations and Salon. Public artworks are shown nearby in Collins Park, while film is presented at two venues: inside the MBCC and in the outdoor setting of Sound Scape Park.
Zona Maco Mexico Arte Contemporaneo, the art fair of Mexico, will celebrate its 11th edition in 2014. The art fair has become the most important contemporary art window into Latin America. Mexico City offers a wide range of opportunities to celebrate art: from visits to public and private spaces such as JUMEX Collection, MUAC or Museo Rufino Tamayo to art galleries and other venues.
The 33th edition of ARCO Madrid will once again be a meeting point for gallerists, collectors, and art critics amidst the works of the artists present at the fair. The 2014 edition will call upon again on the participation of curators from some of its sections – such as Manuel Segade and Luiza Teixeira de Freitas – in the opening program, which is dedicated to young galleries.

miart is a fair in which modern and contemporary art communicate constant references with explicit echoes; it affords a situation to grasp links between the past and present. miart will emphasize this aspect, aspiring to work on the possibility of testing institutional strategies that differ from existing models. ART COLOGNE is the world’s oldest art fair for modern and contemporary art of the 20th and 21st century. Today’s fair annually invites approximately 200 international galleries to showcase painting, sculpture, photography, prints, multiples, installations, performance and moving image art in the city of Cologne, the cultural heart of the Rhineland region and beyond.

Juan A. Gaitán, curator of the 8th Berlin Biennale, has invited Tarek Atoui, Natasha Ginwala, Mariana Munguía, Olaf Nicolai, and Danh Vo to collaborate with him as core members and advisors in his artistic team. The graphic design and art direction of the 8th Berlin Biennale will be developed together with the design office Zak Group.
