Contemporary performing art meets fine art heritage. Don’t miss the last chance to see a new production of Jacqueline Kornmüller at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, which includes 14 paintings, 14 texts and compositions and 23 actors, dancers and musicians.
Ganymed goes Europe opens up new perspectives on old masters of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna (Art History Museum). The Austrian theatre group WENN ES SOWEIT IST invited sixteen Hungarian and international authors to compose a literary text on a masterpiece from the museum’s collection that inspires them.
Jacqueline Kornmüller and Peter Wolf stage these texts with sixteen actors and actresses, thereby bringing the paintings – and reflection on them – to life. Walking through the museum, the visitors become part of the theatrical setting and decide by themselves how long they stay on a particular stage. On each evening the sixteen pieces are performed simultaneously and repeatedly.
A new production of Jacqueline Kornmüller includes 14 paintings, 14 texts and compositions and 23 actors / dancers / musicians.
A cooperation of Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, National Museum in Wroclaw, Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest and wenn es soweit ist
